Computerized treatment planning is performed on a Theratronics TheraplanPlus radiotherapy planning computer except for IMRT treatments which are designed on a workstation dedicated to IMRT - the CMS Xio (www.cmsrtp.com).

These units can model the delivery of radiotherapy in a virtual patient and allow formation of multiple different fields to treat a cancer with a unique, custom built alloy block to precisely form the field of treatment, with or without a high resolution brass compensating filter (www.dotdecimal.com), for each angle of treatment, thereby shaping the beam for the best megavoltage radiation dose distribution.
